To upsize the sports jersey the group first opened the side seams of the body and sleeves on both sides with a stitch ripper. They then cut two panels from the body and sleeves of the yellow polo top and inserted them at the sides of the sports jersey. They attached the ribbed cuff from the yellow polo to the end of the sleeves and added the collar to the v-neck for a final pop of yellow.

Keeping with yellow as a signature design feature, the group embroidered their maserati-inspired logo onto one of the legs of their jeans.
They added a black embroidered motif to the other leg which actually spells the outfit’s name ‘The Street Walker’ in ogham writing.
The sleeves of a polo shirt have been added to the bottom of the jeans and are revealed by the jagged cut outs.
The jeans are styled with a yellow spotted belt and parts of a beaded necklace which is also used to create a matching bracelet.

The groups’ original logo design also features on their upcycled gilet, this time using the applique technique with shapes cut from the polo to embellish the gilet.

The outfit includes a pair of repurposed runners, the soles have been painted with a matching yellow and the laces have been swapped out for yellow laces made from the yellow polo.
The outfit is accessorised with a customised hat and snood, three layered necklaces, runners and a bag made from the body of the polo shirt, a non-slip mat and a strap from an old lanyard.

The group researched the impact of cotton production highlighting the intense use of water as well as pesticides and fertilisers which lead to water pollution and soil degradation.
This outfit was inspired by Adam Sandler’s hockey jersey in the film Happy Gilmore and by the streetwear designs of designer Virgil Abloh. The group sourced the items for their outfit from local charity shops, donations to the school from teachers and students and sourced the sports jersey from Vinted.
