1. The Relove Fashion competition is open to young people aged 12-19 across participating local authorities in the Republic of Ireland.

2. Participants must be in second-level (post-primary) education (this includes YouthReach and Secondary Schools).

3. Applications are not open to those attending college/university/PLCs.

4. Teenagers can enter more than once each year, as part of multiple groups, or as a group and as an individual, as long as each entry is separate and fully complete.

5. Entries can be submitted by teams of 1 to 5 participants.

1. All outfit materials should be from preloved fabrics. As this is a reuse competition, the purchasing of new materials will lead to disqualification.

2. The outfit should be suitable for wear either as a day-to-day outfit, or something that could be worn for a special occasion.

3. The finished garment should be both washable and re-wearable.

4. Weapons or designs alluding to violence, substance abuse or offensive language shall not be accepted as part of the final outfit. 

5. Designs previously entered to Relove Fashion that have not progressed in the competition will not be accepted unless they have undergone further development and enhancement. If your design was not successful in a previous year, you are allowed and encouraged to further develop it for re-entry into the competition. Reference of this should be included in the Project Diary.

6. Creators are allowed to seek guidance and advice when creating their entry, however the final outfit submitted must be created and completed only by the designers involved. 

7. All materials used must be safe to wear and/or exhibit, and must not contain any pyro, toxic or dangerous materials. If a designer is unsure about the safety of their materials, they should consult their educator, who can then reach out to the Relove Fashion Team for support.

1. The primary point of contact with Relove Fashion will be the Facilitators /Teachers/Educators/Youth Group leaders via email.

2. Generative AI must not be used for the completion of the Submission Form/Project Diary.

3. By submitting your entry, you confirm that the Project Diary and the listed team members were the only contributors to the submission as a  whole. Any change in team members, or help from teachers or guardians must be declared in the Project Diary/Submission Form.

4. If Relove Fashion  determines that a design does not comply with the competition rules and regulations at any stage in the competition process, including after selection has been made or awards assigned, it may disqualify the design team from the Relove Fashion competition.

5. Designs must be transportable, and it is the responsibility of the designer to ensure their design can be safely and securely transported to/from Relove Fashion events. This includes considering factors such as packaging, weight, durability, and size.

6. The judge's decision is final.

Prizes

Any cash prize will be made out to the School or Youth Group through which it was entered. In the eventuality that the winners signed up outside of an organised group and they are under the age of 18, the cash prize will be made out to a nominated parent/guardian.

1. Designs must be made available for Relove Fashion for publication or exhibition purposes for up to 12 months post Grand Final.

2. Design content and materials provided to Relove Fashion at the time of submission remains the property of the designers but will be used where deemed appropriate for competition purposes. 

3. Videography and photography will be in place at the Grand Final, and that content will be used for promotional purposes by Relove Fashion.

1. In the case that groups progress to the Grand Final, groups are responsible for collecting their outfits after the Grand Final. 

2. Groups must refrain from making statements and claims in person or online that may bring Relove Fashion, the competition, its community, and relevant stakeholders, into disrepute.
