PROJECT DIARY
The project diary is a new addition to the Relove Fashion Competition, designed to help students document their full journey from research and design to construction and reflection. It replaces both the storyboard and the submission form, streamlining the process for participants.
Getting Started
Access the Canva template via the provided link.
Students can either:
Edit digitally in Canva by creating a free account, or
Print and complete by hand.
What to Include
Students should use the diary to record:
Research: Environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry.
Design ideas: Sketches, colour palettes, and materials planned.
Material sourcing: Where pre-loved textiles were obtained.
Construction process: Steps taken to create the outfit, including repairs, upcycling, or alterations.
Reflections: Challenges faced, successes, and lessons learned about sustainability and creative reuse.
Visuals: Photos of the outfit in progress, inspiration boards, or annotated sketches.
And more, detailed in the Project Diary
Why It Matters
The new project diary ensures students capture their creative process clearly, supports reflection and learning, and provides all the documentation judges need, eliminating the need for separate storyboards or submission forms.
The completed diary, along with the completed outfit and a short video, forms the full competition submission.
