Inspired by the red and white colour palette, the top of the dress was created by sewing different red and white patches harvested from the items to create a textured and patchwork pattern.
The sleeves were made by sewing three different sleeves harvested from jumpers and tops to create a medieval style bell-shaped sleeve. The team created the beautiful two-tone skirt of the dress by combining the skirts of a red african wedding dress and a traditional white wedding dress.
The dress was then decorated with red and white buttons. The veil was created from the underskirt of the white wedding dress and the sleeve of one of the red upcycled red dresses.
The strong two-tone design of the outfit is completed with a red and a white shoe each decorated with alternating buttons.

The team highlighted their hands-on experience of the amount of textiles donated to charity shops.
