This incredible upcycled outfit was inspired by the colours and layered architecture of Greece.
Our young designer Orla crafted the jacket by combining a secondhand fleece hoodie with her own handmade patchwork, using fabric from other preloved clothes.
The lining is made from her dad’s old shirt, which also provided the buttons and fabric details for the blue wrap-style top, inspired by ballet wear. The top is fully lined, shaped with darts, using the same patchwork fabric for the straps, and finished with elasticated buttonholes.
For the skirt, Orla used a double layer of fabric from a duvet cover set. It is tailored with front darts and a back zip for a flattering fit.
