This group sourced fabrics from their school and a local thrift shop. They gathered various fabrics, a bedsheet and a scarf. The group chose to combine elements from different inspiration sources including celebrities such as Radhika Ambani, Grayia Fashion, and costumes from Amadi Opera Notwehr and I Puritani. The group also liked ideas such as 'Pirate Gold Queen' and 'the Medieval Maiden'.
They created a moodboard and aimed to transform discarded and unwanted materials into a visually striking outfit. They carefully designed their outfit to minimise waste and make use of all the materials they gathered.

The group used a combination of draping, hand stitching and machine sewing to create this dramatic dress from the materials they collected.
The group adapted their design to overcome problems they encountered throughout the process. They used a pleating technique to create frill details with ribbon and fabric, and hemmed the frills along the bottom of the dress with white and pink threads.
The dress is embellished with pearls along the top and stays wrapped around the body with a chunky preloved belt.
The look is finished with a pair of shoes, decorated with leftover fabrics and pearls used in the dress.
