This group sourced the items for their outfit from their own wardrobes and a visit to local charity shops. The inspiration for their designs came from upcycling techniques they wanted to try out as well as the items they had gathered to upcycle. They were particularly inspired by the designer Roisín Pierce.

Recognising the need for the top they wanted to create to be made from stretch fabric, the group used fabric from old tracksuit bottoms to create their top.
The top ties at the neck to create a halterneck with pleats at the bustline for shaping and corsetry lacing at the back, tied with a red ribbon.
The skirt was made by cutting a pair of black jeans, cutting strips from the legs and adding them in two layers to the skirt for length. The group then added a lace trim to both of the layers. The lace was also used along with the red ribbon to create a bow motif which the group attached to the back pockets of the skirt.
The group experimented with dyeing techniques to dye the blue jeans, they used to make the handbag, black.
They used the waistband of the jeans for the strap of the bag and created pink flowers with a button at centre as a design feature, they also added two white pockets to the bag harvested from an unwanted white denim jacket. The handmade flowers were also used as an embellishment to the front of the fleece jacket.
The group created patchwork letters which they appliqued to the back of the jacket, spelling the word ‘Bloom’.
