This group wanted to show how unwanted clothing - especially denim - can be upcycled into something wearable, instead of being thrown away.

They began by gathering preloved clothes at home, and were donated a pair of red floral summery trousers from one of their teachers.

They decided to use the trousers to make their corset top. They used a sewing machine and inserted eyelets along the top, bottom and at the back where the corset closes with an upcycled ribbon.

The skirt was made by cutting a pair of jeans, and using a sewing machine to create a patchwork of different colour denims, making the skirt midi length.

The look is finished with customised shoes, and a hand sewn denim bag featuring upcycled jewellery and pearls.
